1. The food information you gave that your partner seemed to be the most interested in or surprised by
She is very interested in milk caps(奶蓋) because I tell her when I drink bubble milk tea I will put some milk cap(奶蓋) and l say milk cap(奶蓋) is a bit salty after I say that she asks me you put a salty thing on sweet thing is that taste good. and I say yes. so she says she wants to try next time.
2. The food information that you asked about and got an answer to
She says she eat sugarcoated haws on a stick(糖葫蘆) before in China and she is very like this sweet snack. She likes the fruit inside the suger and she tastes orange and tomato already. She says she will eat Natto and put egg and rice together to eat I have never tried this before maybe someday I can try and see.
3. Differences in the way that your partner talks or communicates compared to what you are used to in your friends around you
When I talk to her she can not really know Chinese so I need to talk more slowly or I will search for how to say that in Japanese. But her English is better than her Chinese so sometimes I will use English to explain to her.
4. What are two things you had trouble understanding when you were talking to your partner?
When she tried to speak more Chinese I will be very focused on hearing what she says When she cannot understand what I'm talking about. She will ask me then I will help her.
5. What kind of things do you need to remember and what kind of skills are needed for cross-cultural communication?
I need to respect their culture when she talks about Natto then maybe I do not like but I can not say to her Why do you eat this thing that tastes like garbage, You can have your own opinion. but you can not say something like that. She has been to many countries Hong Kong, Japan, and Uk So she can speak Chinese and Japanese in English which is very cool this is useful sometimes when you are talking to somebody who is not from your country.
