Telescope
There’s no way to learn about space without observing the stars.
Telescope Observations
For our telescope observation work, the students were tasked with continually tracking and documenting a series of celestial objects over the course of some days. They were also given a few special challenges to meet.

All of the Student's Telescope Observations
Here are all of the participating students, listed in their work groups and then ordered alphabetically by their first names.
Space Invaders
Alien UFO Research
Hot Spaceship
Mirrors and Periscopes
How does light travel, and how are mirrors and lenses used to redirect and bend light in ways that assist us in observing what we wouldn’t normally be able to see? There’s no better way to learn about this than to manipulate the tools ourselves.
Parts of Telescopes and Assembly
The students had a special night class in which they learned about how telescopes work, how lenses are used, how to create different levels of magnification, and how to assemble a telescope’s many parts. Afterwards, the students learned how to actually use this fun tool, and the proper way to take notes of observations performed.
