Telescopes

  • Gran Telescopic Canarias is a 10.4-meter diameter reflecting optical telescopes situated on a volcanic peak on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands of Spain, at an elevation of about 2267 meters above sea level.
  • In Hawaii, it is the best observation point in the north hemispheres. Many countries and research institutions have constructed their telescopes.

The big dipper

  • is the bottom and tail of the constellation Ursa Major. Since the projected positions of these 7 stars appear close together in the sky; they often seen as a dipper or ladle.

The Orion

  • with 3 stars in its belt and 4 outer stars, the oriom is the brightest constellation in the winter sky.
