Larissa's essay about the Martian

Have you ever thought of what happens to your body when you die? Will you be buried or burned? Will you be put in a beautiful coffin and buried in a beautiful graveyard? Will you go to heaven? Lots of questions will come to mind when we talk about the word “Death.”

We all know that one day the Earth will get swallowed by the sun. So scientists and Elon Musk are planning to send us to Mars. Mars is just a bit smaller than Earth, but breathing up there is already a problem. How are we going to survive there without oxygen and water and food?

There is a pretty famous actor called Matt Damon who was the main character in a movie called “ The Martian.” The movie is basically talking about facing death without enough food and resources. Also to be prepared for your death knowing that you won’t be surviving with the small amount of food.

Despite the fact knowing you dying, you at least want to have a decent funeral right? You also want to be remembered in a good way. A want a headstone that has meaningful and emotional meanings engraved in it.

If you were going to die in a few days, what would you like to be engraved on your headstone? I want to have a short deep meaningful quote. “Once a best friend, sister, and daughter.” It might sound very plain, but once you are actually one of them, you will feel the connection.
