Yiler Huang

Howdy, I am Yiler Huang, I am a 16 years old high school student and I've been studying in this experimental education program for about 2 years. I am from Taipei, and I've been living here for my whole life.

The subject that interests me the most is programming. Though it is sometimes frustrating to sit in front of your computer for 2 hours straight, just to realize that the reason why your code isn't working is because you made a silly typo. Nevertheless, it is still rewarding to see your code working for the first time. Until it stops working again. Currently I am working on a Javascript musical library called Konduktiva. It is developed by Dr. Bell, but we are trying to improve it so it can be capable of making music with the power of algorithm. You can find more information about this library here.

Outside of school, there are a few things I like to do. Including playing guitar, listening to music, playing video games, and watching movies and series. I am also learning about how to produce music recently, which is a topic I've always wanted to explore. The most recent movie I watched was Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, and I would say I like it quite a lot. While a lot of people like to talk about their favorite movies, but personally I don't have a favorite movie. There are just too many good movies to choose for me, and I genuinely can't decide a favorite one.

In the future, my goal is to apply to the Musicians Institute in Tokyo and become a music producer after graduating. However, I still have my concerns regarding my future because the music industry is extremely competitive and I am worried that I might not be able to find a job after graduating. To prevent this kind of situation from happening, I am also polishing my programming skill so I have a second choice, hopefully, of programming when it comes to applying for schools.
