Success 成功
Success can mean different things to different people. The estimation of our worth in the eyes of society will often depend on how much of “success” we are believed to have gained. The definition of success may change, depending on the situation, the social context, the realities of the time. What factors lead an individual to achieve success, whatever “success” may be? Are we born with the factors that allow us to reach it, or are these things that we develop as we grow? During this period, we attempted to learn the answers to these and other related questions regarding success, talking with parents, general society, and ourselves. We looked at existing models of those who are held up as examples of those who have achieved it. We considered actions and policies that are commonly taken to make it easier for the disadvantaged among us to reach it. Through this process, we better understood how success is defined, what might help us achieve it, and our own thoughts about it that are based on our own values and beliefs.
成功對對每個人而言，有不同的含義。但在社會中，人的價值往往取決於已經獲得多少「成功」。成功的定義可能會隨著情況、社會背景和不同時代而改變。是什麼要素讓一個人取得成功，而所謂「成功」又是什麼？我們是天生就具備讓我們達到成功的要素，還是隨著成長逐漸培養出來的呢？在這學期，我們透過與父母、社會大眾和彼此之間交流，試圖找出有關這些問題的答案。我們不僅查參考了被視為成功典範的案例，也探討了有哪些行動和政策，能夠幫助弱勢群體更容易取得成功。通過這個過程，我們更進一步地瞭解成功的含義、哪些要素可以協助我們取得成功、以及我們自己對成功的價值觀與看法。
