Three standard that can measure a student's value

In general the society tell us to treat people equally, the actuality in real society is that people are judged as having different degrees of value. The researcher's goal is to learn more about the factors that the general public uses when considering the value of a student.

To know the respondent's measurement of a student's value, The researcher have to hear other's opinions. At 9/21 and 9/22 we went to the area beside Yuanshan Station to do street survey. The researcher asked 31 people about they're ideas of what are three standards that can measure a student's value. 88 answer were collect, the respondent from those people and the researcher separated them into different categories by their age and gender.

In this results, there were 31 subjects. In those subjects 15 female and 16 male, 1 student, 26 were at working age, and 4 were retired.

Researchers separated people of different ages to see differences between generations. According to the data, we can see that the most popular answer is “personal qualities”(28) follow by “behavior”(17), “morality”(16), “social relationship”(14), “ability”(10), “wealth”(1), “contributions”(1) and “appearance”(1). The researcher believes that students are still young, this make the respondent care more about a students thinking and quality but not so much a student behavior, and that's why “personal qualities” is more than other answers. For the categories of “wealth”, “contributions” and “appearance” the results show these are not the important factors that the general public considers when measuring worth of a students.

In conclusion, the data tells us the different standards people have about the measure of the worth of a student. Many individuals believe that “personal qualities, behavior, and morality” are the three most significant aspects by which to gauge a student's values.
