+As with any social phenomenon, attitudes towards and behavior regarding gender evolves throughout the years. Popular media works may not be an exact documentary of the situation of the times, but they are a concentrated representation of commonly shared and popular culture. The class attempted to get a feel for what the common attitudes towards gender relations and norms of behavior might have been like at a certain time in history do I enjoying parts of the movie Roman Holiday. The students identified points of interest and details that struck them as interesting, different, or confusing. They later reflected on what they observed and compared this to the norms that are commonly accepted in society today.
