+"Don't judge a book by its cover", we are taught from an early age, but if not the cover, what are we to use to quickly gauge the content and value of the book? As sight is the main sensory process we employ for most areas of life, appearance, both of objects and people, has been and will likely remain a big factor in how we judge the value of things and people. The students explored their own personal beliefs about what "beauty" means, and how they feel about society's current standards of it. They contemplated the common connections between the concepts of beauty and worth, and their own feelings about this connection.
