Reflections on the Design Process

In this semester we make their own gift for Daguang’s kid.
In the first meet, I know her preferences, she likes playing basketball and playing baseball. It's a contest also is a good interactive game. When she plays with her friends can make her happy. I painted the draft of basketball and baseball for her to choose. Finally, she chose the draft of the basketball.
I considered her love to play basketball and the sense of interaction with friends, so I made a small basketball hoop that can be thrown and thought of responding to environmental protection. I originally wanted to use the environmental protection label, but the teacher suggested that I use my own design. So I designed a bird's pattern because I think the bird's pattern is very similar to the environmental badge.
I made three sides for basketball then make 2D to 3D. After I finished according to my drawings, I feel my basketball hoop was empty, so I decided to add something to fill it. I made the basketball hoop a marine style, which not only satisfies the customers but also responds to the purpose of caring for the marine ecology.
After this event, what I want to say is, try more and give full play to your creativity, take notes frequently, and after many revisions, you will eventually be satisfied with your customers.
設計過程的反思
這學期我們老師幫我們找到了一群小學生客戶，為他們客製化聖誕節禮物。
透過第一次視訊會議，我了解到對方的喜好，她喜歡打籃球和玩樂樂棒，不只是因為是學校的比賽活動，更因為她覺得和朋友一起玩能讓他感到快樂。我分別畫了樂樂棒跟籃球的草稿供他選擇，她最後選擇了籃球的草稿。
我考量她喜歡打籃球及跟朋友的互動感，就做了一個可以投擲的小型籃球框，又想到需要響應環保，本來是想用環保標章，但是老師建議我用自己設計的標章比較好，因此我設計了一隻鳥的圖案，因為我覺得這隻鳥的圖樣跟標章很類似。
先畫好了三視圖後，接下來就是要把2D做成3D了。我按照我的圖紙做完了之後，覺得我的籃球框有些空虛，就決定加上一些東西襯托，我就將籃球框做成海洋的風格，既滿足了客戶，又響應愛護海洋生態的宗旨。
經過這次的活動，我想說的是，多嘗試及發揮自己的創意，勤做筆記，並經由多次修改，終將能獲得客戶的滿意。
