On a warm afternoon, we got a surprise visit to our classroom. Our school invited a digital designer of Gogoro, Mr.Jiang. Gogoro is a Taiwanese company that developed a 360 system powered by AI battery swapping, and refueling electric scooter. He came here to share about Gogoro technology, its popularity, their impact in the world of Ai and manufacturing; product, and reusable energy.
Do you know only 3% of the people in Taiwan ride electric scooters? Why not? Electric scooters can be pricey. Most people aren't able to afford/purchase such a luxury. they may also think electric scooters take too long to charge and cost them a lot of electrical bills. But Mr.Jiang mentions that this year so fat Gogoro has sold over 186,617 units of their smart scooters. So let's check out the technology behind these scooters to understand why their popularity is rising.
What's so cool about Gogoto's scooters and their manufacturing systems? they use smart systems for everything! the scooter itself is a smart scooter. the manufacturing system is all AI-based. the whole process is a chain of robot cars carrying the part while humans assemble them. Now let's see how environmentally friendly these scooters are.
The coolest thing about these scooters is that they use reusable batteries that are being charged for you at various stations around the island. We all know that oil engines produce a lot of pollution, batteries, when they die, are also bad for the environment. Ingeniously, Gogoro scooters prevent the highest level of environmental harm by using fast efficient reusable batteries. So people don't have to waste time and money to power their engines.
Have you ever seen or heard of a better model of transportation than Gogoro scooters? I sure haven't. This talk definitely convinced me to get a Gogoro scooter one day, by then, maybe they will be making a car! It was great learning about all of this. I'm so glad our school invited Mr.Jiang to teach us about the real world. So all this got me thinking, what's next in the world of AI and environmental care?
