This week we went to the Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art(MoCA), it is the second time that the teacher takes us to the museum this semester. I like art very much but I don't like to go to museums. the resume why is because sometimes I can not get what it means or what they want to tell me about so sometime I will feel confused. Although I don't understand it very well it still has some art that makes me feel interested. The theme of this visit to the museum is ⟪Transistors(轉接器)⟫
The first art that I feel interested in is ⟪Discharge What You Charged⟫ by HsienYu Cheng(鄭先喻). When you go into the exhibition hall you can see that have a lot of small boxes with USB charging cables. At that time my phone was almost no power so my first thought is there is a Charger I'm going to charge. After I put my phone inside the box it is closed. I do not know what happen, After a few seconds a narrator came, and she told me this artist went people to stop looking at their phones because right now the average time that each person uses their phone is getting longer and longer. So the artist uses this art to force people to “temporarily separate” from their phones. Artists use very direct ways to tell people to stop using their phones.
The second design is ⟪Annoyanony⟫ by HsienYu Cheng(鄭先喻). This artwork has one computer connected to a television and a lot of speakers. On the TV the designer has make a function that can make virtual phone number and email. Also it will randomly select a number in the profile to make a call, after connecting. It will be linked to another device, over there it have another person that also connecting the phone called. And the two stranger will have and very special time together.
