Case Study of Two Service Industry Competitors

After previous learning and experiences regarding service and the quality of a service process, the students conducted a more in-depth case study regarding two service industry competitors.

The students each chose two service industry competitors as subjects of their case study. The initial step was to identify the core and value-added parts of each establishment's service to ensure that the comparison study would be a valid one amongst two products that are true substitute services.

The students performed a full academic research format case study for comparison of two service industry competitors. This involved first setting a research topic, basic literature review, formulation of research methods, data collection and results analysis, and concluded with discussion and conclusion about both actual findings and suggested adjustments to the service product.
