- | Lin Xiu Shu, currently 84 years old lives a happy life where she goes to the elderly day care (HOW many times a week). Now, she usually spends her time in the care center playing Rummikub (card game) and talking with her friends. Sometimes they have singing activities in the care center but she has expressed her dislike for singing. SHe can understand chinese but usually speak Taiwanese. On the days she goes to the care center, she would take the care center bus which is supposed to take her there but, sometimes it runs out of space so , she would take the taxi. Her house is not far from the care center allowing her to take the taxi. The author went to interview her one afternoon and she shared a bit about her life. | ||

- | She did not say much about her early ears because she spoke mainly Taiwanese which the interviewer did not understand. She mentioned that she was able to graduate from elementry school when she was young. That was quite rare as most girls at that time did not go to school. At school, she recalled that she learned how to cook and sew clothes. After graduating, she said that she would cook for her family. When asked of what she liked to cook, the only thing the interviewer could undestand was she cooked eggs. She also wanted to say something else but the interviewer could not understand.
