The Perception Process 知覺過程

Our behavior (mostly) stems from our decisions which are based on the reality that we perceive. We only perceive what our attention is focused on. How does our brain decide where our attention is placed, and how might understanding of this shape how we attempt to communicate with and influence others?

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding what causes us to focus attention on certain sensory inputs as opposed to others. We also explored why we may miss obvious details that should be clearly perceivable right in front of us.

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding the connection between perceived needs and attention placement, along with practical uses of this knowledge when attempting to communicate with others.

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding how people's behavior is shaped by their perception of reality, and even before that, how their reality is shaped by what the brain is focusing on.

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding why certain sensory input may be placed together (or not included) by the brain for further processing as a singular interpretation.

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding why the brain may make mistakes in perception or be tricked or misled to believing certain things that are untrue or do not exist. With this understanding, it is also possible to stay away from messaging that has the potential do confuse others or cause misunderstanding.
