Justification and Reasoning for Supermarket Design Choices

This semester I design my own supermarket. The main goal of this supermarket is to let people stay as long as they can. The reason that I choose this goal is because if people stay longer in the supermarket, then they will buy more stuff.
One of the ways that I can think of to achieve this goal is to let people feel relaxed. When people feel relaxed, they will slow down the speed that they do things, and also they will focus more on looking at the products, and choosing the products. I want them to feel relaxed, and they can slow down, and stay longer. I think people would like to stay longer at a place that they think is comfortable and relaxed.
Another way that I think of to achieve this goal is to let people go to every section in this supermarket. The way I make the customers walk around all the sections of the supermarket is to let them find things in the supermarket. I make them find two things in my supermarket, which is actually not really to find things, is a way for them to get a discount, or one free thing. One of my posters tells them that they can have “buy one get one free” if they see this sticker on the products, then that means that they buy this product and they can have one free same product.When they know they can have free products, they might look for which products have this rabbit sticker. I put my poster in the entrance of the supermarket. I chose to put the poster in the entrance of the supermarket to let them know at the very first that they can find the product with the sticker to let them have some discounts.

Another poster is telling them that if they take a picture with ALL rabbit dolls in the supermarket, then they can get a present. The rabbit dolls are in a different place in my supermarket, they need to find them so that they can take pictures with the ALL rabbit dolls. In order to find all of the rabbits, they will need to go to every section in the supermarket, this can make them stay longer. Also when they go over every section they might find things that they wanna buy, and choosing things is another way that can make the customers spend more time in the supermarket. I chose to put my poster close to the checkout counter. The reason that I chose to put this poster close to the checkout counter but not the entrance of the supermarket is because I want when the customers go to the checkout counter to pay, and then they suddenly see this poster, they might go back and find the rabbit dolls and take pictures with the rabbit dolls. The reason I think they might go back and find rabbit dolls and take pictures is because if they see they can get a present just for finding the rabbit dolls and taking pictures, I think most people will choose to go back, especially the customers that have childrens. Most of the childrens like to have gifts, they might want their parents to go with them, it will make them stay even longer.
In order to let the customers know that my supermarket can let them relax, I make my supermarket logo be a rabbit that sits on the beach chair, and also has a drink in her hand to express relaxing and chill. In this part I use the organization, I organize the action like lying on a beach chair, the place like the beach, and the drinks, it all lets people relax and chill.
