Reasoning for Initial Supermarket Design

By Steve Wang

Reasons for my design of my supermarket.

  1. Pet Section: People like animals and buying things for their pets so people might go in when they see it.
  2. Trolly section: If people grab a trolly, they might be more willing to grab things because they do not have to carry it.
  3. Dairy: Having it next to the wall might make things easier to wire and it is something people expect to see at a supermarket. Creating normal supermarket image.
  4. Vegetable and Fruits: Having it near the door might give people the fresh image and maintain the normal supermarket image. Big hallways next to it might encourage people to walk there.
  5. Snack: After people buy the healthy stuff they might buy the unhealthy stuff. Big hallways here to encourage people to walk here.
  6. Meat: On the back wall because people that like meat have to walk all the way to he back and some meat might need to be refrigerated so next to the wall for easy wiring
  7. Bakery: In the middle of the store so that the supermarket smells good.
  8. Dried Food : I want it to be next to the frozen foods.
  9. Frozen food: Next to the wall for easier wiring.
  10. Electronics: Small area because not important for supermarket.
  11. Health: Small area because not important for supermarket. In the not important section.
  12. Household Items: Not important. I just crammed the unimportant ones into one section
