====== Observations at QuanLian ======

We went to observe at QuanLian, we observed how they design the place and everything. QuanLian puts the products in some kind of pattern, they will arrange it in colors and bands. Some products will catch more attention than other products, like milk, pet’s snack and bread. When we walk into QuanLian, you will see the fruit first, it makes people have the feeling about fresh. In QuanLian there are some products that catch my attention more than others. The products are milk, pet treats(寵物零食). The reason that milk will catch my attention is that it just looks fresh in the refrigerator, and also it looks good to drink. Also, one of the milk brands is the brand that I drink often, and I think it's really good. I think it is the organization of the perception process, they want me to organize the milk as fresh and good to drink. Another things that catch my attention is pet treats(寵物零食). Pet treats really catch my attention because they have a lot of the pictures of the cute dogs and cats on their product, and also on their selling shelf. I think this is also the organization of the perception process. QuanLian might want me to think that all the cute pets like to eat the pet treats that they sell, and also when the cute pets eat the pet treats, they will look very happy and cute. Is kind of telling me that if I want to let my pet happy, I should buy them for my pet. 

In QuanLian, they have some special displays or promotions. For Example, “鳳梨任2支現折10元”, “特價58元/粒”, “單組159, 任二組298元”, “第二件五折”, “買一送一”. I think the reason that QuanLian uses this kind of language and also makes some special displays is because they want people to feel that buying more things is better. For the special displays like “特價58元/粒” mostly have limit, and they want to do this to let people think that they should buy it quickly, or the special displays will gone. For Example like this, “鳳梨季 2023/03.17-4/16 (指定鳳梨任2支, 現折10元)”. In QuanLian there are some products that are bundled together or sold in bulk. This actually gives people a feeling like buying the products that are bundled together or sold in bulk will be cheaper and also more cost-effective. There is some example products that are bundled together or sold in bulk: “品客隨行保溫杯組(薯片&保溫杯)”, “鮮乳(大罐&小玻璃瓶裝)”. The special offer or the discount that is especially attractive me is the “統一布丁(單組30, 二組59)”. This kind of thing actually didn’t really save money, the only difference is just 1 dollar, but it is very attractive for me. I like to eat pudding, and even if it is only 1 dollar, I will choose to buy two groups. I won’t even think about how much it's different. I saw it, it had a discount, so I bought it.

QuanLian put the fresh things and some heavy things near the checkout area. I think the purpose of doing this is to let their custom don’t need to take heavy things like alcohol when they are shopping, to let them not be tired just enjoy the shopping. They put fresh things like vegetable, and ice-cream in the refrigerator close to the checkout area because they want to make sure the things are fresh, take the fresh food and don’t get old. There are some special smells at the place that has refrigerators. The smells make people feel fresh, and it is the smells that won’t let people feel bad. Most of the colors in QuanLian is black and the feak wood color, that is bright brown. In QuanLian, there are some store sign in it, it always remind us that we are in QuanLian, it mostly is there work cloth, and the word “全聯價”. The “全聯價” always catch my eyes for no reason, maybe is because of money. The background music in QuanLian is always some fun and happy music. I think that they trying to tell us that is fun and happy to be in QuanLian and shopping in QuanLian.
