Our behavior (mostly) stems from our decisions which are based on the reality that we perceive. We only perceive what our attention is focused on. How does our brain decide where our attention is placed, and how might understanding of this shape how we attempt to communicate with and influence others?

The students discuss learning and practical possible uses of understanding what causes us to focus attention on certain sensory inputs as opposed to others. We also explored why we may miss obvious details that should be clearly perceivable right in front of us.
