Visible light is an essential component of our daily lives, playing a crucial role in how we perceive the world around us. It is a segment of the Electromagnetic (EM) Spectrum, which includes radio waves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays, and gamma rays (from longest to shortest wavelength). Ultraviolet radiation is a type of EM radiation with higher energy than visible light, and it can cause harmful effects on human health, such as skin damage and an increased risk of developing certain types of cancer. This semester, our students have utilized their knowledge of circuits gained from the previous semester along with newly acquired soldering skills to develop an Arduino UV sensor.
