Shannia Lin

I’ve always liked animals. I always asked my mom if I could have a dog and the answer would be the same every time, no. I’ve never really had that much experience with dogs and cats. However, I often visited family friends with dogs.

I’ve always known a little bit about animal welfare and the issues but not about the severity of it. I think after this semester and the experience in the shelter I’ve learned a lot about how animals are treated. I also learned about what problems stray dogs might have and where they come from.

I think I’ve improved a lot on social skills this semester. Being asked to go out and do questionnaires helped with my confidence talking to people. I also learned a lot about filming and how to storyboard. We also filmed in teams so that helped with my teamwork skills.

我一直很喜歡動物。 我總是問我媽媽我是否可以養一隻狗，每次的答案都是一樣，不可以! 我對狗和貓從來沒有很多的經驗。 但是，我經常去拜訪有養狗的朋友。

我一直對動物福利的問題有所了解，但對其嚴重程度並不清楚。這個學期在收容所的經歷之後，我學到了很多如何對待動物的知識。 我還了解了流浪狗可能遇到的問題以及它們來自哪裡。

我覺得這學期我在社交技巧上進步了很多。 出去做問卷有助於我自信地與人交談。 我還學到了很多拍攝和如何製作故事板的知識。 我們還以團隊形式拍攝，這有助於提高我的團隊合作能力。
