Story-telling/Filmmaking and Director Lawa
如何說故事及製作電影-拉瓦導演親授
We’d like to thank our friend Director Redic Hsu (Lawa) for working with us and sharing his knowledge of the story-telling and filmmaking process, along with his personal experiences and feelings regarding animal welfare. Director Lawa is the recipient of the Golden Horse Award for short animation, with his work Wander in the Dark.
His lesson and Q&A session was a great way to get the students moving on the movie shooting process which was a part of our semester project. An important part of our originally planned physical art exhibition was to be a first person view which showed the experiences of a homeless dog. This task required thought and planning in storytelling, audience perception, and emotional messaging.
Director Lawa also visited us a second time to offer feedback, suggestions, and encouragement in a workshop session towards the later parts of the process. We are quite honored to have his support and feel confident that our finished work is up to a level of quality that he would be happy having his name connected to!
