It may not be absolutely correct because I don’t eat taiwanese food. I also don't really know about taiwan. So I searched out some most important things about Taiwanese food.and these foods are all very popular in taiwan. (this is call 珍珠奶茶 in chinese) I’m sure you guys already know about boba tea.it’s very famous, I personally Don’t really drink it, but a lot of people in Taiwan drink it. In my opinion I feel like it is part of the main drink for taiwanese people. And now I’m going to tell you guys “What do traditional taiwanese people usually eat in a day?” This usually for their breakfast Steamed Bread with Eggs (燒餅夾蛋) beef noodle(牛肉麵) It probably for their lunch or dinner Braised pork on rice(滷肉飯) It probably for their lunch or dinner These are the things that you can buy in every taiwan's 7-11 : Taiwanese tea eggs Tianbula(Taiwanese Tempura) I'm sorry I have never eaten these foods in my life So I can’t tell you what it tastes like. But If you are interested in these foods you have to try it because my friends often buy Tianbula after school. 5. What sort of information or basic knowledge do they need (or you need to give them) to make the conversation go more smoothly? When you come to taiwan. don't forget to try some taiwanese snakes at 7-11, also don’t forget to go to the night market there will be a lot of people there. also remember. The things that I told you guys are all for very traditional taiwanese people to eat, not all the taiwanese people eat. and If you want to challenge yourself to eat stinky tofu, you can buy it in the night market. I ate it once and it taste super weird for me. =====The conversation===== 1. The food information you gave that your partner seemed to be the most interested in or surprised by Before we talk about this I want to say something about my partner. She doesn’t talk that much. She sounds like Shannia and she told me she felt sorry for not telling me too much about her Japanese life, because she used to live in Oregon, the US. I heard she said she only lived in Japan for 5 months and I think she told me she living kyoto in japan now She doesn’t speak Chinese that much but She is good at English and she doesn't really eat japanese food. She said she has being to taiwan 3 or 4 times and I’m not sure the most interested one but she said she remember 雞排 and she sounds kinda shock or something like surprise 2. The food information that you asked about and got an answer to I ask about what Japanese people actually eat in a day. She hasn't lived in japan a long time but she said they usually eat fish for their breakfast and it also depends on that person. 3. Differences in the way that your partner talks or communicates compared to what you are used to in your friends around you she sounds like Shannia kind of surprised the first time I talk to her, because her English is too good. But later I got used to it so we had a good conversation even though I make the conversation awkward because of my English. 4. What are two things you had trouble understanding when you were talking to your partner? First time I talked to her I couldn't really understand the English it’s too fast but later I understood more. 5. What kind of things do you need to remember and what kind of skills are needed for cross-cultural communication? I think we need to respect each other's culture. and need to know some basic things about their culture before you talk to them =====Second Time===== introduce the semester project and how food and nutrition is related to this topic the reason why we learn about nutrients is because its very important for our health 2. share 3 pieces of information that you learned about healthy eating, and how that will affect your body Eat carbs will gives u energy but at the same time if u eat too much u will get fat Eat protein can help u build ur muscle also eat protein can also help people lose weight Eat vegetable can help you Digest the thing u eat 3. show 3 examples of things Taiwanese students often eat for lunch (with pictures), ask partner what they think about the taste/nutrition of this food Like what I said last time i don't eat taiwanese food, But I believe they eat rice and noodle most of the time And I would like to talk about the covid situation with you.
