By daniel chen

The bandwagon effect is when people do something because they see others doing it, even if they might not really want to do it themselves. The reasons why everyone falls into it is because people often assume there must be an advantage when everyone is doing the same thing, also they're scared of being laughed at or left out if they choose a different path. Common situations where people follow the bandwagon easily include fashion trends and political movements, In fashion trends, people often start wearing a style because celebrities do. In politics, people might vote for a candidate just because they're popular. following the bandwagon without thinking can make you lose what makes you special, miss chances, and support bad things.
