Questions on I love you, you're perfect, now change musical

1. Which portrayed character left the strongest impression on you? Why? Describe the scene and what the character did. You can make up names for the characters if necessary.

In one of the scenes where a female character ordered pizzas, the Italian pizza deliverer left the strongest impression on me. I thought it was hilarious how they started singing along with the female main character when she started singing.

2. Describe one scene where there were irrational gender or relationship expectations.

In one of the scenes, the male and female characters complained about how they always needed to present the best of themselves to people. The female characters complained about how they must be slim, put on makeup, and have defined curves to be thought of as a presentable woman. The male characters complained about how they needed to take care of their weight, lose weight, and be buffed to be a presentable man. These complaints showed how people in the society expect people to be “better than average”, but in reality it is not possible for everyone to be above average.

3. Describe two scenes where you’ve noticed the application/display of logical fallacies or the characters being irrational (extra points if you can name the type of logical fallacy). What were the characters doing in the scene that you chose? How did the logical fallacy/fallacies occur? Suggest one possible solution for fixing the logical fallacy in each scene, what could the character(s) have done or said instead?

In a scene where a female character waited for a man to call her, she said that men never call you on time even though they promised so. This is a cause of the Ad Hominem fallacy. The female character thinks the male character wouldn’t call her back, just because he was a man. A way to avoid this fallacy is to not think that someone would do something just because they are a certain type of a person.
