Why are some people so successful? What can I learn from them so that I can achieve the same success? That is a questions that people often ask themselves. To find out, my classmates and I looked at some people we considered successful. We looked at their family wealth, education, personal qualities/ personality, abilities and, connections/family background.
According to the data, it is very helpful to have a wealthy and well connected family if you want to be successful. About 88% of the successful people here have middle to upper class families in terms of wealth when they were young. This point can be clearly seen in the table below. Having wealthy families allow the child more resources which will help them become more successful in the future. This points about having rich families is supported by a research done in 2023 about family socioeconomic status (Tompsett & Knoester, 2023). The data also states that about 52% of the successful people here have some sort of family connections. Based on that, to be successful, the easiest path is to have rich parents. When you have rich parent's they are financially able to provide you with what you want and need. For instances, education, equipment and, opportunities.
To sum it up, a big part of success is decided by what kind of environment one is born into. For example, being the child of a wealthy executive will have a significantly higher change of being successful in life than being a child of a homeless person. From this study, we can learn that if one is born into a wealthy and well connected family, they are probably on track to being a successful person.
