Create Experiment Testing Influence on Perception

By: Yuna

  1. Writing about an observation you had that makes you interested in what you want to test.
    1. About color.
    2. At the first, I'm going to do a research about candy and candy's color, what kind of color of the candy make people think it taste good. It make me think of the color dark and light, so then I do the research about the color of the table in a restaurant.
  2. Explain exactly what kind of perception you want to test in your experiment.
    1. one of the group look one color of restaurant table, one of the group look at another color. Give them a scale, and ask them “How good do you expect the food at this restaurant to be?” very bad-excellent. 1 is very bad, 5 is excellent. (1-5)
    2. Expectation of quality in a food service context.
  3. State clearly the variable that is you will change in your experiment.
    1. color of the tablecloth.
  4. What kind of outcome perception or change in perception or difference in perception do you think you will be able to cause by changing this variable? Why do you think so?
    1. expectation of taste, quality of food.
    2. Color: light green & dark green
    3. My guess: I guess when people see darker colors they will expect the food be better. Darker color let people feel more texture(質感).
