====== Research on Perceptions of Necessity Among Differing Age Groups ======

=== Introduction ===

This day, we are researching about “what things are wanted and what things are needed”. We want to know how people think about the wants and needs of different things. 

=== Research Methods ===

We interviewed a total of 57 people, divided into 3 groups. Age Group 1 are students and children, there are 24 people in total. Age Group 2 are working people, there are 20 people in total. Age Group 3 are people that are retired, there are 13 people. We interviewed 57 people in YuanShan. We make a little game on the board, and let them play it and answer the questions. The question is “Do you think this thing is a need or a want.”

=== Results & Discussion ===

In this data, there are 57 people that we ask, and there are 57 people who think that Light is a need. It means in this research, everyone thinks that Light is a need, no one thinks that is a want. I will guess that maybe because we need light everyday, we need light to see in the dark, so they think light is a need. Also in this 57 people, there 48 people that think the Internet is a need. I will guess that maybe it is because that in the world now, the things that people do are mostly concerts on the internet, or need the internet. 

Before I think people will think AC is a want, not a need, but the research tells us that in 57 people there are 37 people who think that AC is a need, and 19 people think AC is a want. That means in this 57 people, there were more than half of the people who think that AC is a want. I thought people will think that AC is a want, because you don’t really need AC so much. Well, if people have AC it will be easier for them to live in summer, but I don’t think it is a need. 

=== Conclusion ===

In conclusion, from those data we can see that all of the people that we interviewed in YuanShan felt that light is a need, and 37 people think AC is a need. For the answer of light I don’t really surprised about that, but I never think that most of the 57 people that we interviewed will think AC is a need. Maybe in the future, we can give people more questions to see if it will have more interestings answers.
