====== Input from the Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art ====== [[yuna-wu|Yuna Wu]] Today, we visited MOCA to see some artworks. I think the one called “Animal Island” in this museum looks very good. This artwork is made by an atheist called Lee Ming-Hsuh. Lee Ming-Hsuh used collecting objects, and acrylic paint to make this artwork, “Animal Island”. Lee Ming-Hsuh pins some of the collecting objects to the wall with an arrow. The Collected objects that use arrows to pin on the wall have some food, jacket, toys, etc. There is also a long table with it. On the table, there are a lot of animal dolls. When I first saw this artwork, I think it was very cute. It has a lot of toys, and he makes it pretty. The reason that I think the artwork is cute is because of the toys, it looks pretty cute, and the arrows pin the collecting object on the wall look pretty nice. I think the artist Maybe wants us to feel like people are taking animals places. When the artist was doing this artwork, he might feel sad about it, because people take the places that animals live to build the things that they want. I think the story behind this artwork is about animals. The things that use arrows to pin on the wall are all human things. The things on the table are animals and toys. Because of people, animals don’t have a place to live, and some animals are facing extinction(正在面臨滅絕). Lee Ming-Hsuh uses arrows to pin the things on the wall to express that people need to give animals more space and protect animals. I think Lee Ming-Hsuh's way of using arrows to pin things on the wall gave me this particular experience. I think other people might think the same thing as me, because arrows give people a “kill things” feeling, so people might think the same way. At first, I just think this artwork was pretty cute, and cool. After I went home, and I saw the picture that I took, I think this artwork was talking about people and animals, and because of people animals don’t have a place to live. The artwork “Animal Island” that Lee Ming-Hsuh made is pretty good, and the meaning is pretty good too.
