Audacity: Adjusting Volume

There are several ways to change the volume of a track in Audacity.

1. gain slider (doesn't affect the waveform, but will affect exported audio)
2. amplify (affects the waveform
3. normalization
4. envelope tool (it's even got its own page here!)
