| Bell improvises percussive and bass-heavy algorithmic music by live coding with open source software, including two software libraries he has written. The older is called Conductive, developed in the Haskell programming language, and the newer one Konduktiva, developed in the JavaScript programming language. He holds a PhD from Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan. Bell is now based in Saigon, Vietname, where he is a lecturer in sound design and creative coding at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). He was based in Tokyo from 2006-2020 and lived in Taiwan from 2001 to 2006 and 2020 to 2023.
